Tech Tips: Tab Sidebar Firefox Extension

tab_sidebarIf you are already a Firefox user, you probably know about some of the great add-ons you can get for the browser. One of most useful that I have come across recently has been the Tab Sidebar extension.

Using this extension you can display your tabs down the left hand side of the browser as live thumbnail images of what is being displayed on the page. This not only gives you the text title of the web page, but also an image of what’s on the page, allowing you to search your tabs by visually recognizing the page rather than reading the title.

The extension, which can easily be toggled on and off with a hotkey (ctrl+shft+e), takes a bit of getting use to at first, but its benefits are quickly recognized. Give it a day or two and you’ll never go back.
