Educational Technology

Educational Technology can play an important role in supporting teaching and learning in and outside Carleton University classrooms.  All instructors have access to the learning management system WebCT 6 and most classrooms are equipped with audio/visual equipment.

The EDC supports faculty members, contract instructors and teaching assistants with the selection, implementation, training and deployment of educational technologies: everything from the use of WebCT 6 to release class notes, to using PowerPoint effectively for teaching, to the design of complex web applications, animations and videos, and the building of fully online courses. 

We offer a large number of workshops, one on one training sessions, consultations, and design and development services.

Staying on top of new developments in educational technology, the EDC continues to research, write documentation, and perform workshops on several of the most innovative and useful tools to enhance teaching and learning:
